The Green Party of Texas has launched a ballot access drive in order to gain access to the Texas ballot for the elections in November. We are raising funds to support that drive. The ballot access drive will begin March 12th, and will end May 26st. The State of Texas only allows third parties to begin the ballot access petition drive AFTER the Democratic and Republican primaries are held (March 4th); therefore, we only have 75 days to obtain approximately 70,000 signatures to get on the Texas ballot. The Green Party of Texas does not participate in the primaries.
PLEASE NOTE: If you do vote in the primaries, you will not be able to sign a petition for ballot access for the Green Party. However, you can vote for whomever you want in November, no matter what petitions you signed or whether you voted in the primaries.
Having a choice in this election is vital to our nation, and affects each and every one of us.
